New Year New Worries

Well, welcome to the first blog of 2005. Yes yes I know, I've not been the best of people at keeping this up to date but I have been busy you know.

First there was Christmas to plan for and get through. The bad news was that one by one we all succumbed to a nasty flu virus that was doing the rounds back then - the real bad news is that most of us are just getting over going down with it a second time around. Fever, nausea, aches and all of the rest of the ailments. Takes anything between 10-14 days to work through.....not nice.

And in the midst of all this I discover that my job is at risk and I could be redundant. I work for Business Link, www.blbw.co.uk as an IT Consultant - there are 3 of us but due to the vagaries associated with our funding there may only be enough money to pay for 2, so it's uncertain times for us all.

However, my personal site seems to be running well, www.andypoulton.com, www.virus-safe.info (for all the information you're likely to need in relation to the risks to your PC from viruses, spyware and hacking) and www.web-legals.info (which is all about the legal issues facing UK companies wishing to establish a presence on the internet.
