The World Cup and all that stuff

So, we are nearly there. The World Cup final is just two short days away and then it will al be over for another 4 years. England failed to live up to the hype and expectation, failing in the match with Portugal and going out on penalties for what is the umpteenth time. How professional footballers paid over £100,000 PER WEEK can fail to get a little round leather football past a goal keeper is beyond me. Also, why was Theo Walcott included in the squad and NEVER used - what is that all about? Huh? HUH?

Ah well, the era of Sven passes by and issues in the era of Steve "I'm sat in the stand making lists becuase sitting by the pitch motivating my team is sooooo uncool" McClaren.

Mr Beckham has stood down from the captaincy and so could now be dropped from the team.

And then there's the cricket - last summer be beat the auld enemy - The Australians - and ranked highly up the world cricked league. This year - OMG, beaten by Sri Lanka - a little like the England World Cup team being beaten by kids from the local school. Oh well.

Is there any good news?
